As a technology inclined guy, I’ve always loved solving problems and getting things done. After high school I decided to join the Navy and entered the submarine nuclear power program. It was aboard ship that I learned how to use systems to accomplish tasks quickly and under pressure. After my six year enlistment, I decided to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My love of music and electronics led me to a part-time job at a local hi-fi shop. After college I continued learning all aspects of the audio-video business and expanded my hobby into a full-time career there. I also earned the CEDIA Installer I certification and attended training from the Home Acoustic Alliance and Imaging Sciences Foundation. My wife and I relocated to the Chicago area and I started at Barretts as a Home Theater Specialist. Now, as Project Manager, I work to ensure that your installation goes as smoothly as possible. The only thing you need to worry about is what movie you will be watching tonight.
My office is located in our NaperWest store so please don't hesitate ask for me if you are in the store. I will be happy to discuss any aspect of our Custom Installation process.

I have been a custom electronics installer for 12 years. Before that I was a carpenter for over six years. I am proud to say that it is my responsiblity to bring your dreams to life. As a field supervisor I am responsible for every aspect of your project.

The idea of getting, installing and even just using home theater gear can be daunting. In just the past 5 years we have seen a multitude of new television technologies (plasma, LCD, DLP, LCOS, SXRD) and heard many changes in audio formats (Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, ProLogic IIX, SACD, DVD Audio). Having a knowledgeable experienced person that can take care of all the technical issues is essential so that you can just sit down and have the movie or music experience you desire. I have been an audio enthusiast for decades and assembled my first home theater in 1995. I chose to make audio/video a profession in 1999. My goal is to provide the best quality/highest value solution for all of my clients, regardless of budget. I received my sound engineering certificate from Columbia College in Chicago. Always interested in sound, I moved from a career in remolding after 9 years to installing and consulting sound and video. I have now been in the audio and video industry for the last 10 years.

I am a veteran in the Consumer Electronics Industry. I began my career in retail sales in the summer of 1988 with the Barretts location in the Fox Valley Mall. Throughout the years, I have held many jobs in the company. I was a store manager for several
years at various Barretts locations before moving to the corporate office in Elmhurst in 1995. My expertise is in Multi-Room, Audio/Video and Home Theater systems. I keep up my education by attending several manufacturers training and many CEDIA courses each
year given by the industry leaders. My current responsibilities include Multi-Room and Home Theater design, as well as programming the various control panels and remotes that make them work.
I am also involved in troubleshooting and fixing problems, while making sure everything works well together. My system at home includes a Multi-Room 2 zone Audio/ Video system and a Home Theater system. I live in the far west suburbs with my wife and 2
boys.
